The Speed Director is a mobile radar speed trailer that provides a clear signal to the driver to check their current speed.  On the standard model a maximum of 2 digits are displayed in either MPH or km/h format (3rd digit is an option).  The Speed Director is used for traffic calming in a variety of locations including school zones, construction or maintenance work zones, neighborhoods and high-accident areas where the speed limit must be enforced.  The approach-only radar system detects only oncoming traffic and will indicate to the driver if they are over the speed limit.  An extreme speed setting also allows the unit to grab the attention of the driver by the use of other visual display(s) while not showing actual speed.  An automatic brightness feature gives the sign a more legible viewing distance both day and night while conserving valuable stored energy.  The Radar Speed Director is an asset to any Traffic Calming Program.
